Marina Abramovic meets Ulay
“Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again. at her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’ as part of the show, a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing it and this is what happened.”

Street Artist Behind Satirical NYPD “Drone” Posters Arrested
Before, After, & In Between is a new comics anthology that just won’t quit. Twelve talented artists are coming together to tell new tales that revolve around a single date: December 21st, 2012.
The art student behind the project has already blown through her Kickstarter goal, but new backers keep trickling in. Just four days left to join in the fun.
This is the final stretch!! We have less than a week left and would love to convert any stragglers into our backers! I was pondering on what would be the best way to do so… Then I realized I have a partial-dummy book I was looking over for any technical edits and thought to indulge you guys with it too! Well snippets anyways.
And just to remind you, we have grand total of 12 artists in the mix! This is only 5 of them; you do the math. Our project gets funded on the 14th, so hurry in while you still can!
As long as we want to believe that creative achievement is special, that a work of art is not just one more commodity seeking to aggrandize itself in the marketplace at the expense of other works of art, we need prizes so that we can complain about how stupid they are.

Voice of Art Pt. 1 - Street Art vs. Illegal Billboards
Los Angeles-based artist collective Cyrcle exposes the battle between art and advertising; they discover that while law enforcement has been cracking down on street art and murals, bizarre laws have allowed corporations to illegally place over 4,000 billboard ads in their city.
You know how you’re always trying to get things to come out perfect in art, because it’s real difficult in life.
